Betfred Championship Preview | Round 13

Betfred Championship Preview | Round 13

We're nearly halfway into the Betfred Championship season! This weekend, we return for Round 13, where there's a feast of action taking place on Sunday...

Toulouse will host London for the first time since 2023, when the Broncos pulled off a shock 14-18 victory in the Championship Grand Final and secured their promotion to Super League.

The French side have been formidable in 2025, however, and have scored 30 or more points in their last four matches.

It’s a battle between two sides at opposite ends of the table, with the Broncos searching for their first win since late March.

Can Toulouse maintain their place at the top for another week running?

Hunting down Sylvain Houles’ men is an in-form Bradford side, who are currently enjoying a winning streak of seven league games.

They will welcome York to Odsal on Sunday – a team who will be jubilant from their emphatic AB Sundecks 1895 Cup Final victory at Wembley last Saturday.

For the Bulls, they will be looking to avenge their semi-final defeat against York, when the Knights caused heartbreak by beating Bradford 28-20 to progress to the final.

It’s worth noting that Mark Applegarth’s men have also won their last four league matches, so unless York experience a 1895 Cup hangover, we should be in for the fiercest of contests.

Meanwhile, Barrow and Sheffield go head-to-head and are both looking to bounce back from respective losses in Round 12.

Featherstone meet Hunslet and are undefeated in their last 27 meetings with their opponents, having won 26 and drawn one. The Rovers will also be fired up and out for blood following their devastating 1895 Cup Final loss.

Batley and Doncaster will face off for the first time in 2025. It’s an important two points up for grabs for both sides, with the Dons looking to create space between themselves and the bottom four, while Batley will be determined to climb out of the dreaded bottom four.

2024 saw Richard Horne’s men nil the Bulldogs on both occasions (0-38 and 26-0), but what lies ahead in Round 13?

Finally, Widnes welcome Halifax to the DCBL Stadium. Halifax's form has dipped dramatically in recent weeks, but can they finally turn it around on the road against the Vikings?
